Delete Your Groooves Account
To request that your Groooves account and associated data is permanently deleted, follow the steps below.
Steps to Delete Your Account
- Open the Groooves app on your device.
- Tap your profile icon to go to your profile.
- Tap the Settings (gear) icon on the bottom right tab
- Scroll down and select "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision when prompted. Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.
Alternative: Request Deletion by Email
If you are unable to delete your account through the app, you may request deletion by emailing us at digitalclimbcorp@gmail.com. Please include:
- Your Groooves username or the email address associated with your account
- A clear request to permanently delete your account and associated data
We will process your request and confirm deletion within 30 days.
Data That Is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your account credentials (username, email address)
- Your profile picture
- All album reviews you created
- Your album likes and collections
- Your following list and followers
- Device information we stored (device type, OS, screen size)
- All other content and activity associated with your account
Data That May Be Retained
The following may be retained where required by law or for legitimate purposes:
- Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you
- Data we are legally required to retain (e.g. for tax, legal, or regulatory compliance)
- Data in backup systems for up to 90 days, after which it is permanently purged
Retention Period
Account deletion is processed immediately. Data is removed from our active systems right away. Any data in backups will be purged within 90 days. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered.
